The good news is what Jesus Christ did to save sinners.

 

How can we be saved:
1. God is holy (1 John 1: 5). He is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1: 1).

2. All human beings are sinners and are worthy of the eternal and just wrath of God. (Romans 3: 10-19; Mark 9:48; Revelation 14:11).

3. Jesus Christ, who is perfect man and perfect God, lived without sin, died on the cross to bear the wrath of God in place of all who believe in him, and rose from the grave to give eternal life to his people. (John 1: 1; 1 Timothy 2: 5; Hebrews 7:26; Romans 3: 21-26; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 15: 20-22).

4. The only way to be saved from eternal punishment and reconciliation with God is to repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ for salvation (Mark 1:15; Acts 20:21).

Our salvation is not because of our good works but because of the grace of God and the free gift that comes through our confession and faith in Jesus Christ. This is eternal salvation and no power can take it away from us.
